We all
remember, Abhishek Manu Singhvi quoting the above, when unsubstantiated
allegations were made about BJP MLAs in Gujarat Assembly. Mind you he didn’t
wait for validation of the video, even wait for forensics to certify it but
just blasted out. Now, today a video of him in compromising positions as well
as a “casting couch” for aspiring judges has made it out. He is literally
caught with his pants down !!! When the video was broadcast to the world in the
social media he had no option but to resign…
What is
most disappointing is the fact -- that the mainstream media hasn’t covered itself in glory
at large and blatant partiality of the English TV channels that have been
thoroughly exposed by this episode. The media houses that shouted that a Swami
Nithyananda, or BJP MLAs should be hung -- tried to hide behind the cover of “injunction
from the court” and tried their best to blackout this news. The court
injunction was for the broadcast of this video and NOT for reporting on it -- as
news. How come this wasn’t glaringly obvious to them is a point I want them
explaining to the nation. What was so special about AMSinghvi that they had to
show this extraordinary restraint ?
Time and
again, the mainstream media is getting caught with its pants down by such
blatantly obvious prejudicial/partial stances favorable towards their
benefactors. If anything, the social media has corrected this imbalance and
restored integrity (albeit on balance) to the fourth estate…
